Former Manchester City and Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Philips has predicted the four teams that would qualify for next season’s Champions League. Shaun Wright-Philips made his prediction for the Premier League top four in a chat with popular English media outlet Metro. According to the retired England national team star, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea would be joined by West Ham United in the top four.

Shaun Wright-Philips backed  West Ham United for the fourth and final spot for Champions League qualification ahead of more popular teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

West Ham United are in the top four on the Premier League log at the moment after winning seven of their first twelve (12) league games this season.They have three points more than Arsenal who are their nearest challengers at the moment in fifth position. The Hammers have six more points than Manchester United who are in eighth place on the league standings. On their part, Tottenham Hotspur are seventh place on the log and four points adrift of London rivals West Ham United.

The Hammers secured a statement win when they ended Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the season in the last Premier League game before this month’s international break. West Ham United were able to stake a claim for a top four spot thanks to the 3-2 win over the Reds. Alisson Becker (own goal), Kurt Zouma and Pablo Fornals scored the goals for the Hammers, while substitute Divock Origi and Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the Liverpool goals.

On who will win the league title, Shaun Wright-Philips said that holders Manchester City are still the overwhelming favourites to keep their title and that they would run away with it if a quality striker is added to the squad. After 12 games this season, Chelsea lead the Premier League log by three points from Manchester City.
