Shaun Wright-Phillips spent the majority of his time at Manchester City in the era just before the arrival of the present rich owners. The club is currently owned by Shiekh Mansour under the umbrella of the City Football Group.

Former Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips showed where his loyalty lies after he posted a video of him on his official Instagram handle celebrating in a bizarre fashion following the Champions League win over French outfit Paris Saint Germain (PSG) last month. He was seen running around his apartment in the video.

Shaun Wright-Phillips was delighted that Manchester City recovered from a first half deficit courtesy the goal from Marquinhos to beat PSG 2-1 away from home thanks to the second half strike from Kevin De Bruyne and RiyadMahrez. Wright-Phillips also tagged both Mahrez and De Bruyne in the video.

The win in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie was a big boost for Manchester City who were able to finish the job in the second leg thanks to two goals from Algerian international Mahrez. His goals either side of the break gave the Citizens a 2-0 win in the second leg for a 4-1 aggregate win.

English teams Manchester City and Chelsea will now face each other in the final to determine who wins the competition this season. Shaun Wright-Phillips played for the two clubs before he retired.
